Parks and Reserves

Burwood has a number of beautiful parks with facilities and surroundings suitable for all-ages.

Some of our parks can be hired for sporting events, markets, festivals or private functions. Features include an outdoor fitness station, enclosed playgrounds with shaded shelters, dog off leash areas, outdoor table tennis, skate ramps, basketball court, soccer and cricket fields, outdoor chess boards, wetlands, futsal field, ponds, BBQs, picnic areas and more.

Barbara Holborow Park

This park is a great little hideaway with a quiet and relaxing feel. Located within the park are some seats and a paved walking trail. Barbara Holborow Park is located at the southern end of Stanley Street Croydon Park near the corner of Georges River Road. The Park is situated between Stanley Street and Rawson Street Croydon Park.

Blair Park, Croydon

Blair Park is located in Croydon, bounded by Blair Avenue, Acton Street and Queen Street. The site of Blair Park was originally an estate named Evandale, which was built by Captain Henry Fox in 1868. The western side of Blair Park is categorised as a Sportsground.

Brown Reserve is part of the network of parkland along the Cooks River foreshore. The Cooks River Pedestrian and Cycle Pathway passes through the park, illuminated at night by solar lighting. The park adjoins Lees Avenue, Trelawney Street and Flockhart Park.

Burwood Park is a large historical park bounded by Park Road, Park Avenue, Burwood Road and Comer Street.
Located within the park is a sporting field, cricket pitch, outdoor chess board, The Pavilion and Burwood Park Community Centre, pond and outdoor fitness station.

Coronation Reserve is a local park located at Coronation Parade, Croydon Park along the suburb boundary of Croydon Park and Strathfield South.
Burwood Council owns and maintains the eastern side of this reserve.
Strathfield Council owns and maintains the western side of this reserve.
