Frequently asked questions

When should I put out my household items for collection?

To help ensure your household clean-up collection runs smoothly and to enable our drivers to remove your items safely, we ask that you:

  • Put items on the kerb the day before the assigned collection day.
  • Ensure you don't exceed the maximum volume of 1.5 cubic metres.
  • Stack items neatly and safely and put small items into bags or boxes.

 

 

What items are collected?

  • Furniture and household items
  • Lounges (that comply with size limit)
  • Mattresses (limit of 2)
  • Whitegoods (individual items must not exceed 30kg in weight) i.e. fridges & freezers, washing machines, dryers
  • Baby items and toys
  • Garden tools and equipment Sporting goods and camping equipment
  • Clothing and shoes (bundled together)
  • Rugs and carpet cut into 1m lengths

 

What items are NOT collected?

Items not collected/accepted in your clean-up service:

  • Household Waste, Food Scraps, Recyclable or Medical Waste
  • Building / Renovation / Construction Material or Commercial Waste i.e. timber, asbestos, concrete, gyprock, bricks, sink, bathtubs, kitchen cabinets etc
  • Window Panes, Glass or Mirrors and Glass Table Tops
  • Liquids, Fuels, Chemicals, Paints or Paint Tins, Oils, Batteries or Gas Bottles
  • Vehicle  Parts or Tyres
  • Green Waste (Garden Vegetation/ Organics) i.e. grass, twigs, branches, tree stumps, dirt or rocks
  • Items greater than 1.5m in length
  • Items over 30kgs or items that are too heavy for two (2) people to easily lift i.e. no hot water systems, spa baths, pianos
  • Electronic Waste (e-waste) i.e. TV’s, computers and accessories
