The Mayor's Business Commendation Awards celebrate Burwood's long-serving and impactful local businesses.

In 2025, the program is expanding. In addition to celebrating businesses and entrepreneurs who have operated continuously within the Burwood Local Government Area for a minimum of 10 years, generational family businesses and/or those who have made significant contributions to the community with a special focus on improving access and inclusion, the following new categories have been introduced:

  • Food Safety Excellence
  • Best Shopfront

Last year, council was pleased to host the 2024 Mayor's Business Commendation Awards Night on Wednesday, 29 May.
