From Monday 29 September 2025, the Burwood Library & Community Hub car park on the corner of Conder Street and Railway Parade will be closed and handed over to contractors, as the first stage of building this city-shaping arts and cultural facility.
From that date onwards, there will be no public access to the site.
Burwood Library & Community Hub will remain open throughout the Burwood Culture House construction period and entry will be via Unity Place.

The Burwood Culture House project aims to transform the existing car park in front of Burwood Library into a vibrant cultural hub. It will provide new facilities for arts, cultural and community use, and a new park and public open space within the Burwood Town Centre. The project supports the overall vision and transformation of Burwood as a cultural and events destination.
