Introduction

Burwood’s streets are set to come alive with music, performance, and creative expression through Burwood Unplugged, a new initiative inviting buskers to showcase their talents in key public spaces across the Burwood Town Centre.

With no fees to participate and a fast-tracked approval process for predesignated locations, buskers simply need to register via the link below, agree to the policy provisions, and carry their digital permit while performing.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, performers must adhere to noise, crowd control, and pedestrian flow regulations. Additionally, buskers under 18 require parental or guardian consent. Whether it’s music, street performance, or other creative arts, Burwood Unplugged is about celebrating talent, enhancing public spaces, and enriching the local cultural scene, one performance at a time.

Objective

  1. Foster a vibrant and dynamic street culture in Burwood
  2. Provide opportunities for artistic and cultural expression.
  3. Ensure busking activities are conducted safely and harmoniously with the community.
  4. Encourage community engagement and support local talent.
