Unattended shopping trolleys can be unsightly and hazardous blocking footpaths, littering parks, and polluting waterways. The good news? Retailers are responsible for collecting them, and reporting is quick and easy.

Before you report it to the retailer, ensure you have the following first:

• The exact location (address or nearby landmark)

• Number of trolleys spotted 

Check the trolley for the store name, then report it using the contacts below

• ALDI: Report online using ALDI's abandoned trolley form or call 132 534
• Coles: Report online using the abandoned trolley form or use the Coles app & select "Report abandoned trolley" or call 1800 876 553
• Dan Murphy's: Report online using the trolley tracker form or call 1800 641 497
• Kmart: Report online using the abandoned trolley form or call 1800 876 553
• Target: Call 1800 163 900
• Woolworths: Report online using the trolley tracker form or call 1800 641 497

What Happens Next?

Once reported, the responsible retailer will arrange for the trolley to be collected, typically within a few business days.
