Burwood Road Tree Relocation and Planting
As part of Burwood Councils efforts to increase the tree canopy and reduce urban heat, street tree planters on Burwood Road, between Belmore Street and Railway Parade, will be relocated and 8 new trees will be planted.
Council has engaged Auscape Landscape and Civil Pty Ltd to undertake the street tree planter relocation and planting within the coming weeks. Works will commence in mid-July 2026 and are expected to be completed in 4-6 weeks, weather permitting.
To minimise disruption to daytime traffic and pedestrian activity, works will be carried out between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am, Monday to Wednesday each week.
Council will make every effort to complete the works as efficiently as possible and minimise any inconvenience to residents, businesses and visitors during this time.
