Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I put out my bins?
Be sure to place your bin out the evening before your scheduled collection as the trucks may collect earlier than usual due to waste transfer facilities having restricted opening times on public holidays. The same applies for scheduled household collections.
Are bins still collected on public holidays?
Yes, bin collection services continue as normal on all public holidays. However, because waste transfer stations may have restricted hours, trucks often start earlier than usual. It is essential to place your bins out the evening before to ensure they are emptied.
What should I do if my bin was not collected?
If your bin was missed, you can report it by calling Customer Service at (02) 9911 9911 or by completing an online Missed Bin form. Ensure your bin was placed out the evening before and it did not contain prohibited items.
