Community Grants

Burwood Council makes funds available under its annual Community Services Grants Program to organisations and groups within the Burwood Local Government Area (LGA), or those working for the local community, to provide additional services and programs.

Burwood Council makes funds available under its annual Community Services Grants Program to organisations and groups within the Burwood Local Government Area (LGA), or those working for the local community, to provide additional services and programs. The funding program assists Council to achieve strategic objectives outlined in the Community Strategic Plan, Burwood2030, through supporting local community services.

Local community services, organisations and incorporated groups are encouraged to apply for grants of up to $5000.00 for programs, events and activities that benefit the local community. Council is hosting an information session on Thursday 16 February from 2:00pm-4:00pm for organisations and groups to learn more about Community Grants and to assist you in applying for a grant.

Burwood’s Category 1 Club Grants are now open. Community organisations are invited to apply for funding towards projects that address local community needs of residents primarily residing in Burwood and Strathfield Local Government areas. 

Priorities for this year’s funding are children and families, youth, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, volunteer based programs and projects that encourage active aging.
