Burwood Council makes funds available under its annual Community Services Grants Program to organisations and groups within the Burwood Local Government Area (LGA), or those working for the local community, to provide additional services and programs. The funding program assists Council to achieve strategic objectives outlined in the Community Strategic Plan, Burwood2030, through supporting local community services.

Council’s Community Grants Program is now closed and applications being assessed by the Council panel. If you have any questions about an application please contact Council’s Community Development Coordinator on: 99 11 9941 or email grants@burwood.nsw.gov.au

Burwood’s Category 1 Club grants are now open. Community organisations are invited to apply for funding towards projects that address local community needs of residents primarily residing in Burwood and Strathfield Local Government areas.

Priorities for this year’s funding are children and families, youth, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, volunteer based programs and projects that encourage active aging. Applications that consider the impacts of COVID 19 and restrictions are also strongly encouraged.
