Young People

Burwood Council provides a range of programs and opportunities for young people in the area through the Burwood Youth Advisory Group. A list of organisations has been put together to provide youth with help and information.

This year, during April, Burwood Council held a Youth Week Careers Expo targeted at local high school students. The event was an opportunity to connect with education, training and employment providers to inform young people’s career choices.

Are you a young person aged 12-24 years who either lives, works, visits or studies in the Burwood area?

If you're interested in having an impact on your community and working with other young people while learning new skills, then the Burwood Youth Advisory Group (BYAG) would love to have you on board!

Working with Burwood Council, BYAG is a team of young people who organise fun community events and develop excellent leadership, teamwork, public speaking and event management skills.

We already have some exciting ideas for 2020 and would love to add some fresh faces to our team.

If you would like to get involved and represent local youth then contact  Burwood Council's Youth Development Officer on  or 9911 9911 for more information.

Also, ‘like’ us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with our activities!
