Frequently asked questions

How do I get a Burwood Library card for my child?

Parents or legal guardians should visit the library to get a card for their child. It's free! We'll need some evidence of your address, like a bill or driver's license and some evidence that you are the child's parent or guardian, like a Medicare card that has both of your names on it.

Do I need to read 1000 different books!

Not at all! Repetition is great for learning, and if your child has a favourite book you can read and log it as many times as you like.

Do online books count?

Absolutely! You can find audiobooks and eBooks for children on the following platforms:

You can log into any of these services with your library membership number and pin.

Where do I go for more help signing up?

You can come into the library branch to get assistance to sign up for Beanstack and the 1000 Books Before School challenge.

If you need more help using the Beanstack app, you can also visit their handy help section.
