    Introduction
The License to Play (L2P) policy is a plan by Burwood Council to make the local area more lively and fun. It makes it easier for people, businesses, and community groups to try out new ideas in public spaces like small events, pop-up markets, or mini playgrounds without getting lost in complicated rules.
It does this by:
- Making it simpler to get permission to use parks or streets for fun projects.
- Helping projects pay for themselves so they can keep going.
- Making sure everyone gets a turn so all parts of town benefit.
- Encouraging lots of different activities that everyone can enjoy for free.
In short, it’s a way to let the community help make Burwood more exciting, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
