Burwood Library App

The free App can be easily downloaded by searching for Burwood Library on the i0S Apple Store or Google Play Store - depending on your device. Once downloaded, users can access the library from anywhere.  They can explore the library catalogue and discover our broad range of eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks, newspapers, library news and events, social media postings and more.  

The mobile App has extensive integration with the Library Management System to deliver the best user experience for library members. Members are able to log in to their account to manage their loans and reservations. They can extend loans, and add or cancel reservations remotely from anywhere via the App on their smartphone.

In addition Burwood Library is excited to be one of the first libraries in the world to offer contactless self-service checkout of materials using the Burwood Library App. In the midst of these challenging times, with a focus on personal hygiene and germ avoidance, library members will now be able to easily check out resources simply by tapping the item with their own personal smartphone (similar to using tap and go) without the need to use any other hardware – or public kiosk.
