Track a Development Application

Follow the below steps to track and view a DA and access relevant information.

1. Please go to Council’s DA Tracker.
2. After you have read and agreed with the conditions, click on the agree button.
3.  Select Search on the left-hand side of the page.
4.  Enter an application number or address in the applicable sections of the page and click submit to find the application.
5.  Select the relevant application by clicking on the blue details button.
6.  Click the drop-down arrow of each subheading to see the relevant information of the application.
7. In the drop-down arrow of documents subheading, select the blue view button to download the relevant documents.

Requirements for Making a Submission

Submissions can be made during the public exhibition (notification) period for a Development Application (DA), Modification Application (MOD) or a Review Application (REV).

Submissions must include:

• Your full name.
• Your postal address, email address, and contact telephone number.
• The relevant Application number.
• Your comments on, or concerns about, the proposed development.

All written submissions received during the public exhibition period will be considered by Council as part of the assessment of the assessment process.

Following determination of the application, Council may write to submitters advising them of the outcome.

How to make a Submission via theDevelopment Application (DA) Tracker

Members of the public can view Application details and lodge a submission online using the Development Application (DA) Tracker.

1. Open the Development Application (DA) Tracker.
2. Log in to your account. If you do not have an account, select Sign up and follow the prompts to create one.
3. Search for the Application you wish to view and select it from the search results.
4. Review the application details and any available supporting documentation.
5. To lodge a submission, select the three-dot menu in the top right-hand corner of the application details page, then select Make a Submission.
6. Complete all required fields and follow the on-screen prompts to prepare your submission.
7. Review your submission to ensure all information is correct, then select Submit to lodge your submission.

How to make a submission to Council on a Development Application (DA) via email or post 
Members of the public can view Application details and lodge a submission by email or post.

1. Submissions can be made directly to Council during the public exhibition period directly via: 

Email: council@burwood.nsw.gov.au; or

Letter: PO Box 2044, Burwood North, 2134, attention to: The General Manager 

Submissions must include:  

• Your full name.
• Your postal address, email address, and contact telephone number.
• The relevant Application number.
• Your comments on, or concerns about, the proposed development

If you are unable to find the information you are looking for under Council’s DA Tracker, including plans, reports and other documentation. You may need to submit an access request.

Please note that not all documents relating to an application can be provided to the public, and you may need owner’s written consent to access certain information.
