This project aims to to increase the tree canopy and reduce urban heat. The existing street tree planters on Burwood Road, between Belmore Street and Railway Parade, will be relocated and new trees will be planted.
Works will commence in mid-July 2026 and are expected to be completed in 4-6 weeks, weather permitting.
To minimise disruption to daytime traffic and pedestrian activity, works will be carried out between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am, Monday to Wednesday each week.
