HSC Study Nights

For the duration of the HSC exams Burwood Library and Community Hub is opening the Hub as a late-night study space!

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from Wednesday 2 September - Saturday 31 October, the Hub will be a dedicated after-hours area until 10pm for students and patrons to focus on their studies, with access to open areas and rooms available for individuals and groups alike.

Bookings are essential. To gain access, you must be a Burwood Library member.

What to Expect:

• Late-night study space open from 5PM to 10PM (Monday), 6PM to 10PM (Wednesday), and 4PM to 10PM (Saturday).
• Open areas and rooms for focused or group studying
• Self-directed arts & craft activities for those essential study breaks
• A supportive environment for Year 12 students and others preparing for exams
• Opportunity to work collaboratively or individually.

To gain access:

• Be a Burwood Library member (visit ground floor staff to register if needed)
• Book your spot online for each night you wish to attend
• Bookings close at 4PM on the day of the event – your ticket will give you access to the Hub from 5PM-10PM (Mondays), 6PM-10PM (Wednesdays) and 4PM-10PM (Saturdays).
• Enter via 8 Conder Street with your unique access pin (emailed to you on the day of your booking)
• Once inside the Hub, please see the security guard and check in by presenting your booking confirmation email.

Important: Bookings are essential for each night and do not guarantee access to future dates.

• Only one booking per person per night
• No walk-in entries or bookings on behalf of others
• Adhere to all rules and regulations to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

So, grab your study materials and make the most of these extended Hub hours!

Booking Rules:

• Book for each individual night (e.g., each Monday separately)
• Booking window closes at 4PM on the day of the event
• No late bookings or bookings on behalf of others accepted
• Must be a library member to book
• Your access pin will be provided via the booking confirmation email one hour before the event starts.

Conduct Rules:

• Enter via 8 Conder Street after 4:45PM (Monday), 5:45PM (Wednesday), 3:45PM (Saturday) using your access pin
• Check in with the security guard upon arrival
• Show your ticket confirmation email (digital or printed) to the security guard
• Do not allow entry to others whohaven'tbooked
• Respect the space and other students
• Leave all Hub spaces clean and tidy after use and place all rubbish in the bins provided
• Security guard has authority to remove disruptive individuals
• Be kind and considerate to create a safe, positive study environment for all
