Pensioner Concessions
If you receive a pension, you may be able to get help paying your Council rates and charges. This is called a pensioner rebate. You could get up to $250 off your rates and waste charges if you qualify.
Who can get this rebate?
You may be eligible if you have one of these cards:
-
A Pensioner Concession Card (PCC)
-
A Gold Card that says TPI (Totally and Permanently Incapacitated)
-
A Gold Card that says EDA (Extreme Disablement Adjustment)
-
You are a war widow, widower or a dependent partner who receives the DVA income support supplement
If you have a different type of card, you may not be eligible.
If you are a war widow, widower or dependent partner and do not have a Pensioner Concession Card, contact the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) to check if you qualify. They will look at your income and assets.
The easiest way to apply for a pensioner concession rebate is online. You can also download and fill in the form, then post it to PO Box 240, Burwood NSW 1805, or bring it to our Customer Service Centre at 2 Conder Street, Burwood NSW 2134. We’re open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:45pm.
