A singing sensation from the X-Factor, an entertaining couple from `The Block' and children's favourites Paw Patrol will be among the attractions at the Burwood Festival on Sunday, October 13.

More than 77,000 people are expected at Burwood Park for the largest free event in Sydney's inner west - an action-packed day of performances, rides and market stalls.

The theme for this year’s festival is `Burwood Wonderland’. Headlining the entertainment will be a musician who first gained attention as a boy on the XFactor, Jai Waetford.

Jai has since signed a contract with Sony and released his most recent single, `Honestly', this year.

Mitch and Mark from TV’s `The Block’ will be on hand to meet festival-goers, while children can watch the Paw Patrol stage show and meet the characters.

Pony rides, an acrobatics display and a classic car show are among the other attractions. Burwood Mayor John Faker was looking forward to a fun-filled day.

"The Burwood Festival is a great way of celebrating our fantastic community," he said.

"We have a diverse range of cultures, and some incredibly-talented locals who will be performing on the day.

“The festival is a great family day and I can't wait to be part of it."

Entertainment starts at 11am.

There will be entertainment throughout the park until the 6pm closing time.

Burwood Council has been hosting the festival for more than 30 years.
