Mandatory Face Masks in Burwood Council Venues and Facilities

Published on 03 January 2021

Burwood Council is complying with NSW Health guidelines to help protect the health and safety of everyone who comes through our doors.

In line with recent changes to NSW Health orders, from Monday 4 January 2021 visitors and staff will be required to wear a face mask at all times at the Burwood Library, Community Hub and Customer Service Centre located at 2 Condor Street, Burwood.  Face masks will also be required for visitors and staff at the Enfield Aquatic Centre, however, will not be a requirement when in the pool. Your health is our priority, and we will have a limited number of masks available at these locations to help visitors adjust to the change.

Community members will also be required to wear a face mask when attending activities at other Council indoor venues, including the Burwood Park Community Centre, Fitzroy Hall, George Street Centre and Woodstock Community Centre.

Physical distancing measures remain in place across all Council indoor venues and community facilities. Providing accurate contact details for contract tracing purposes also remains a requirement of entry.

Council is also continuing to ensure hand hygiene facilities are available in key locations and additional cleaning is in place across our venues.

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have visited a hot-spot in the past 14 days, please do not visit Council indoor venues and community facilities to help us protect our local community.
