Growing your Business Information and Networking Event

Burwood Council will be hosting the ‘Growing your Business Information and Networking’ event on Friday 25 March 2022 as part of NSW SBM. Council will partner with its two local Chambers of Commerce (Burwood Asian Business Partnership and Croydon Park Business Chamber) to deliver the event.

The event will be held at the Burwood Community Hub terrace and will be hosted by the Mayor of Burwood Cr. John Faker with local business representatives invited to attend. Tours of the hub will take place on the night and businesses will be offered a new subsidy for the hire of rooms by council during Small Business Month.

A key note speaker will deliver a presentation on ‘Growing your Business’ based on their personal experience and success, and how businesses can increase opportunity through local and state government support programs.

Council will also present the Inaugural Mayors Commendation Awards at the event recognising long standing businesses and/or businesses who have significantly impacted Burwood’s sense of place. Recipients will also be guest speaking at the event sharing their success stories and how they have been able to grow and maintain their business for a significant period of time.
