BreastScreen NSW Mobile Van

Next date: Monday, 11 August 2025 | 12:00 AM to Friday, 29 August 2025 | 11:59 PM

Regular breast screening can save lives — but only 40% of women aged 50–74 in our local area are currently participating. Among women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, that number drops to just 38%, well below the NSW average of 51%.

Early detection of breast cancer offers the best chance of successful treatment and recovery. For women aged 50 to 74, a breast screen is the most effective way to detect breast cancer early, often before symptoms appear.

Breast screening is:

  • Free

  • Quick — it takes just 20 minutes

  • Safe and private — all radiographers are female

  • Easy — no GP referral is needed
