Identified as a major centre by the NSW Government, Burwood is set to grow significantly in the next 25 years, taking advantage of the area’s strong local economy and excellent transport infrastructure.

Council is committed not only to maximising the area’s growth, but to ensuring that Burwood remains an exciting and vibrant place to live, work and visit.

We have already completed an extensive program of public works, including improvements to Burwood Park, the Avenue of Nations and surrounding street scapes.

Christmas Carnival

Carols in the Park 2018

The much loved Carols in the Park will return on Saturday 8 December 2018, 2pm at Burwood Park, featuring live kids’ entertainment, exciting roving performers and a big firework finale. 

We are very excited to bring you a carnival this year that is full of thrills and excitement, so there'll be fun rides, festive merchandise and food stalls with all your favourite Christmas treats.

Woodstock Artisans Market

Woodstock Artisans Market is an exciting new Christmas shopping event set in a restored 1871 heritage building, the Woodstock Community Centre and its lush, spacious parklands. It  showcases designers and makers of unique, handmade homewares, fashion, art, ceramics, jewellery and much more.

When: Sunday 18 November 2018 at 10am to 3pm

Where: Woodstock Community Centre, 22 Church Street, Burwood
