Welcome to

Burwood Council

Identified as a major centre by the NSW Government, Burwood is set to grow significantly in the next 25 years, taking advantage of the area’s strong local economy and excellent transport infrastructure.

Council is committed not only to maximising the area’s growth, but to ensuring that Burwood remains an exciting and vibrant place to live, work and visit.

We have already completed an extensive program of public works, including improvements to Burwood Park, the Avenue of Nations and surrounding street scapes.

Mayor's Message

From Cr John Faker

A great start to spring

It was great to see thousands of people brave the rain to celebrate the start of spring at the Burwood Festival on Sunday, 20 September.

Burwood Park was transformed into a farm with a range of farmyard animals and activities for the kids to enjoy.
