Welcome to

Burwood Council

Identified as a major centre by the NSW Government, Burwood is set to grow significantly in the next 25 years, taking advantage of the area’s strong local economy and excellent transport infrastructure. Council is committed not only to maximising the area’s growth, but to ensuring that Burwood remains an exciting and vibrant place to live, work and visit. We have already completed an extensive program of public works, including improvements to Burwood Park, the Avenue of Nations and surrounding street scapes.

Mayor's Message

The Woodstock Centre was recently refurbished inside and out to restore the building’s heritage charm while providing modern and state of the art facilities.

“It was great to see so many members of our community come together to celebrate the re-opening of Woodstock,” says Burwood Mayor, Cr John Faker.
