Register to Address a Meeting of Council

In the overriding interests of public health and safety during the current COVID-19 pandemic, Council will be conducting its meetings electronically as per provisions under the NSW Local Government Act.  The customary face-to-face public participation opportunity has been replaced with the opportunity to speak via teleconference link. 

To register to speak complete the Apply to Speak at a Council Meeting online form (registrations are accepted until 2pm on the day before the meeting)

Persons from the Public may address the Council and answer questions from Council.  Persons who have registered will be invited to speak at the beginning of the item before the Council.

Guidelines, which apply to public address, are:

  • a time limit of three minutes per speaker
  • discussion, debate or questions involving Councillors or Council Officers are not permitted
  • the subject matter only is to be discussed
  • personalities are not to be addressed
