Greywater Reuse

How can you use greywater?

  •  Manual bucketing is the cheapest method of using greywater. It means simply collecting water from your washing machine or shower and using it to water your garden.
  •  Greywater diversion is diverting greywater to a small holding tank and then to an irrigation system located below the soil surface. These systmens should be self-draining so that greywater isn't stored for more than a day.
  • Greywater treatment systems mean you can use all the greywater your home generates regardless of the weather. After treatment the greywater is clean enough to be stored. It is not sfe to drink. Treated greywater can be used to flush toilets, wash your clothes and water your garden using a hose, spray or drip irrigation.
