ANZAC Day March and Dawn Service 2024

Burwood Council, in conjunction with Club Burwood RSL and the Burwood RSL Sub Branch, will be hosting an Anzac Commemorative March and Dawn Service on Anzac Day, Thursday 25 April 2024.

Please join us as we commemorate these brave men and women who have served, and are currently serving our nation, to ensure their legacy is never forgotten.

Schedule:

  • The Commemorative March will commence on Church Street from Woodstock Park at 6:00am
  • The Dawn Service will commence in Burwood Park at 6:30am
  • There will also be a special Anzac Day mass at St Joseph’s Enfield at 9:15am

Further details:

  • A free bus shuttle service will be available from Club Burwood RSL at 6:00am and 6:15am to take people to the Dawn Service if needed.
  • A flyover from the Australian Defence Force in C-130J-30 Hercules will occur at approximately 7:30am
  • The community is warmly invited to the ANZAC Day breakfast at Club Burwood from 8:00am. At the conclusion of the Dawn Service at approximately 7:30am, a free bus shuttle service will be available to take people to the breakfast if needed.
  • Parking is available at Westfield Burwood from 5am in P2 (Entry from Victoria Street or Wilga Street).

Please note there will be a rolling road closure in place on Burwood Road between Church Street and Park Avenue from 6:00am until 6:30am for the duration of the Commemorative March. Burwood Police Area Command and SES volunteers will be on site assisting.
