Items collected in Green Waste Clean-up:
- Leaves, grass clippings, and tree loppings up to 15cm in diameter and 1.5m in length.
- All loose materials must be placed in sturdy containers or bagged.
- Tree branches and prunings must be tied in bundles.
To help ensure your Green Waste clean-up collection runs smoothly and to enable our drivers to remove your items safely, it's important to:
• A Customer Service team member will confirm the booking date, do not place any items out until the date confirmed by council
• Put items on the kerb/council verge on the day before the assigned collection day
• Waste left on the street outside of your collection times (or on public land at any time) is deemed illegal dumping and may lead to a heavy fine
• Ensure you don't exceed the maximum volume of 1.5 cubic metres
• Grass clippings and/or leaves must be put into bags
• Branches must be bundled
• Stack items neatly and safely
Burwood Council reserves the right to reject any clean-up items deemed unsuitable. Items unsuitable for collection will be left behind and a non-collection notice will be left in your mailbox.
