Works have been undertaken to welcome a new addition to the Grant Park sports and fitness precinct with two new multipurpose courts, new lighting and car parking facilities . The project included $1million funding from NSW Government's Greater Sydney Sport Facility Fund Infrastructure Grant.

Works undertaken included the installation of:

  • Two new multipurpose courts to accommodate a range of sports including netball, basketball and volleyball
  • Carpark extension to relieve parking congestion in the streets
  • New lighting for night training, as well as bike racks, a drinking fountain, bench seats and new shelters
  • New connecting paths to provide safe, accessible pedestrian links with the car park, Enfield Aquatic Centre, Henley Park, dog off leash areas and the local neighbourhood
  • Over 40 native evergreen trees to provide shade and screening
  • New garden beds of mass planted native and exotic shrubs, grasses and ground covers
  • Integrated rain gardens in the car park planting islands to help absorb and filter surface run off

As of December 2021, the courts are now ready for our community to enjoy and we welcome sporting enthusiasts to try out our latest facility.
