Burwood Art Prize special: STEAMpunk Club edition - Thursday, 22 May 2025

Calling all STEAMpunks! We have a special edition of STEAM Club for you during the Burwood Art Prize. In this months workshop we'll be mixing Victorian science fiction with cultural self-expression to create one-of-a-kind steampunk self-portraits. Inspired by the Burwood Art Prize theme I AM HERE, young artists will explore their identity, heritage, and the things that make them unique — then reimagine themselves in a whimsical steampunk universe! Come along and create something with drawing, collage, and mixed media, to build portraits that fuses your personal story with a sci fi style!

About Kids STEAM Club

Explore, create and play while building foundational skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths (STEAM).

Kids STEAM Club is a monthly activity space for 9-to-12-year-olds. We will support your big kid through explorative and creative play in a wide range of STEAM-based activities such as coding, robotics, and creative arts. All materials will be provided – just bring along your sense of curiosity and fun!

If your child falls in the 5-to-8-year-old age range, please book them in for our monthly Junior STEAM Club instead where we provide activities better suited for younger kids.
