Parramatta Road Urban Amenity Improvement Program

 -

The Parramatta Road Urban Amenity Improvement Program is a Department of Planning, Industry and Environment initiative to improve open space and active transport links along the Parramatta Road corridor. The program brings state agencies and local councils together to work collaboratively on improvements to the corridor.

As part of the program Burwood Council has been awarded $780,000 to construct new cycling links to key transport locations and open spaces within the LGA.

Currently there are three key cycleway projects planned for Burwood:

Cycle Route 1 – Luke Avenue, Burwood to Burwood Park

Cycle Route 2 – Parramatta Road Pedestrian Bridge to Burwood Park

Cycle Route 3 – Short Street, Croydon to Wangal Park

These additions and improvements will increase cycling connections throughout the Burwood LGA making it more accessible and visually appealing.
