Vacancies in the Burwood Multicultural Advisory Committee

The Multicultural Advisory Committee provides Council with enhanced insight into the needs of our multicultural community and makes recommendations based on their knowledge of the local culturally diverse community. Council currently requires one new committee member for a period of twelve months and two alternative members to be called upon when a member of the committee cannot attend.

Multicultural Film Competition 2019

Opening in January 2019 the Home, Heritage and Heart Multicultural Film Competition gives local residents the opportunity to create a short film, which can be shot on a smart phone, that demonstrates what multiculturalism means to them, open to all residents aged 16 or over, as well as the chance to win great prizes, selected entries will also be showcased at the Multicultural Film and Food Festival happening in Burwood in 2019. Cultural Diversity – Multicultural Strategy for the CALD Community in Burwood 2013-2016

Burwood Council recognises, values and celebrates cultural diversity and embraces diversity within our community. The Burwood Council’s Multicultural Strategy reaffirms and will guide Council’s work in planning, service delivery and community development for its culturally diverse community.
