Council's use of social media

Council’s social media accounts are monitored during business hours, from 8.30am to 4.45pm. Some accounts may be monitored outside these hours during events or emergencies.

We will try and answer your questions on social media where possible, however, please be mindful that we are unable to manage complex matters, complaints or requests on social media.

Please note, we have the right to remove content on our social media pages which violate our Code of Conduct including content which is inappropriate, offensive or unrelated (i.e. spam and unauthorised advertisements).

Council takes the privacy of our residents, ratepayers and stakeholders seriously and it is our policy to respect your privacy and protect personal information. Personal details of users will only be kept when necessary (i.e. when an enquiry is made, or if there is a breach in policy) in order to assist us in our operations.
