Public Notice of Adoption of Amendment 5 to the BDCP

Council at its meeting on 26 October 2021 resolved to adopt the exhibited Draft Amendment 5 to the Burwood Development Control Plan (BDCP).

Amendment 5 includes:

  • Site specific built form controls for the southern side of Cooper Street Strathfield, subsequent to the approval of the rezoning of this area by the State Government.
  • Site specific built form controls for Livingstone Street and Sym Avenue Burwood, following the preparation of a planning proposal by Council to rezone this area.
  • Changes to current BDCP provisions to support improved design and development outcomes, or support Council’s initiatives currently underway, such as the Shop Front Improvement Program.
  • Updates to reflect changes in legislation.
  • Editorial changes including formatting.

The amended BDCP will become effective on 15 November 2021.
