The weather is warming up and COVID restrictions are easing. That makes it the perfect time to get out and sample all the wonderful local restaurant and cafe takeaways while enjoying the best outdoor settings Burwood has to offer. 

As part of our Burwood Eats program, we want to shout you a picnic to thank you for your on-going support to our local businesses.

Until 20 December we’re giving away a picnic rug and $50 voucher to two lucky winners each fortnight. 

Entering is easy:

Step One: Post photos of food or drinks you purchase from a Burwood local eatery from 11 October to 20 December 2021 and your picnic location in the Burwood LGA on Instagram and/or Facebook

Step Two: Tag the eatery on Instagram and/or Facebook, hashtag #Burwoodeats, and also tag @BurwoodCouncil

Step Three: Like and Follow @BurwoodCouncil Facebook and Instagram Pages to find out if you are the lucky winner 

Terms and Conditions

  • The entrant must be following @burwoodcouncil on Instagram and Facebook
  • The prize is determined by a random draw that will be done fortnightly with the final draw on Monday 20 December 2021
  • The competition is open to residents and visitors to the Burwood Local Government Area
  • There is no limit on the number of entries per entrant during the competition period
  • If multiple entries are entered, only one will be eligible for the prize
  • All entries profiles on Instagram must be set on public
  • Only entries submitted on Instagram will be accepted if they are appropriately hashtagged #burwoodeats and tagged @burwoodcouncil.
  • The food or drinks must be purchased from eateries in the Burwood Local Government Area between 11 October 2021 and 20 December 2021 and need to be identified in the caption
  • Photography must be original and can only be photographed by the entrant
  • Entrants must be 18 or older or 13 or older and have a parent or guardian’s consent in line with Instagram’s terms of use
  • In entering the competition, Burwood Council has the authority to reproduce and publish the photograph in various formats. The photographer will be credited for their work
  • Burwood Council accepts no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this competition, including the loss of or corruption of files
  • Burwood Council reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition without notice
  • Burwood Council is not and will not be liable for any costs associated with taking of the photos
  • The promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated with Instagram or Facebook
