Burwood Council’s social distancing business packs now include multilingual posters to help non-English speaking locals stay safe during COVID-19.

Council launched the packs, which contain social distancing floor stickers and posters, earlier in June as part of its Burwood Cares for Business COVID-19 response.

Mayor John Faker said the original packs contained English-only posters, as Council did not want to lose valuable time in providing the resources to businesses, given the urgency of the health emergency, while waiting for the multi-lingual versions to arrive.

“These social distancing packs have been incredibly popular among our local businesses,” he said.

“It’s just one of the many ways in Council is doing all we can to lessen the impact of COVID-19 on our community.”

Council has 100 social distancing business packs, which are available by registering on its Burwood Cares for Business page.
