Bookings are essential. Numbers are limited to comply with health safety guidelines. Maximum of 2 bookings per call. Burwood LGA seniors have priority in booking. If you have special dietary needs please include this information when booking.

InterConnex Tech Expo
InterConnex Tech Expo is on Tuesday 29 March 2022, 10am - 1pm at Burwood Library & Community Hub ( 2 Conder St, Burwood).

Organisations will be on hand demonstrating the latest in:

  • First Aid Online
  • Digital SmartPhone Photography
  • Online Shopping (things delivered right to your door!)
  • Cyber Security
  • E-books, e-magazines and e-newspapers
  • Audio books

We are excited to announce that tickets for the 2022 Premier’s Gala Concerts will be available from next Friday 28 January.

In 2022 the concerts will be held on 30 and 31 March at the Aware Super Theatre at the International Convention Centre Sydney.

This year audiences will be treated to performances from some of Australia’s best, including Phil Burton of Human Nature, Christine Anu, Shannon Noll, Emma Pask, Gary Pinto and The Diamonds.

If you can't make it to the concerts in person, you can enjoy the show from the comfort of your own home via our event livestream, see registration details below.

Premier's Gala Concerts are presented by the NSW Government and run as part of the NSW Seniors Festival which takes place from 25 March - 3 April 2022.

Due to COVID-19 Seniors Programs have been suspended until further notice.

This is an informal group of seniors who live in Burwood Council and surrounding suburbs. 

The group provides a range of activities for seniors usually on a monthly basis.

Activities may include:

  • information talks on topics that are of interest to seniors
  • bus trips to interesting/educational places around Sydney
  • many more engaging activities.

Everyone is welcome from beginners to expert knitters at the Burwood Wrap with Love Group.  

So, come along and join in the fun and meet like-minded people who enjoy knitting.

All finished wraps are given to Wrap with Love, a voluntary organisation with members knitting squares to make wraps and rugs that are distributed within Australia and worldwide to communities in need. 

When:  Mondays  

Time: 9.30am to 11.30am 

Location:  Woodstock Community Centre, 22 Church Street, Burwood. 

The Burwood Seniors Computer Club welcomes seniors 55 and over who would like to learn how to use a computer.  

This Club is run by volunteers who are seniors themselves.

The Burwood Council Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) aims to achieve our goal of a more inclusive community. 

The main objective of the DIAP is to ensure that people with a disability have an opportunity to fully participate in the social, community and business life of Burwood. The plan outlines key strategies and actions that will assist in overcoming barriers to inclusion.These strategies will be incorporated into Council's planning for the next four years.
