Burwood Profile

In-depth information on the local community's profile

Woodstock Community Centre and Fitzroy Hall

Woodstock  is a magnificent Victorian building set amongst parklands in the Burwood CBD. Since 1979 Woodstock has been Burwood's main Community Centre, with both Burwood Council and many local community groups hosting various programs, events and activities for the local community. With the recent addition of Fitzroy Hall, the Community Centre is a busy, vibrant centre of community activity. Plans are underway to begin a renovation to this beautiful building to ensure that the facilities are upgraded for the benefit of the community. Some of the programs and activities have moved temporarily to other Burwood Community facilities such as George Street Centre, on the corner of George and Elsie Streets, Burwood Park Community Centre, within Burwood Park and at the Library and Community Hub at 2 Conder Street, Burwood.

Burwood Council Community Programs

As Woodstock Community Centre is currently under renovation,  Council subsidised programs will not be operating until further notice. Renovations are expected to be finalised mid 2016.
