About the Sport A Month Program
Burwood and Ashfield Councils in partnership with NSW Sport and Recreation and local sports clubs, are giving residents the opportunity to try a different sport each month for free.
The Sport A Month program aims to increase community involvement in local sports clubs and sporting activities. The success of the program has enabled Ashfield and Burwood Councils to work in partnership with NSW Sport and Recreation to implement the program in both Local Government Areas.
How The Sport A Month Program Works
Each month of the year is dedicated to a particular sport and community participants are able to ‘come and try’ the sport. These free sessions will be run by the club coaches or sports leaders at their home ground or facility. To find out what sport is on this month scroll to the bottom of this screen and download the appropriate months brochure.
