Public Exhibition of the Draft Burwood2030: Community Strategic Plan

The Draft Burwood2030 Community Strategic Plan has been prepared and is now available for inspection.

The draft document will be made available for public inspection from 23 May 2018 to 20 June 2018 at Council’s Administration Centre, Suite 1, Level 2, 1-17 Elsie Street, Burwood, Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 4.45 pm, and on Council’s website at the link below.

The Draft Delivery Program 2018-2021, Operational Plan 2018-2019 and Budgets 2018-2019 and 2018-2022 have now been prepared and are available for inspection.

Public Notice of proposal to ban right turn traffic movement out of Railway Crescent onto Wentworth Road, Burwood

Following a review of the intersection of Railway Crescent and Wentworth Road Burwood Council proposes to restrict the right turn traffic movement out of Railway Parade for safety reasons. An alternate route for west bound traffic on Railway Crescent wanting to head north is available via Mt Pleasant Avenue and Gladstone Street which provides a safer alternative for motorists.

Details on the proposal can be found in the Burwood Local Traffic Committee Agenda and Minutes which were reported to the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 27 March 2018.

Policy Amendment - Carrying Out Bonus Development in the Public Interest

Council has prepared an amendment to the policy for Carrying Out Bonus Development in the Public Interest. The amendment includes extending the designated areas applying to the policy to include Perimeter and Transition areas of the Burwood Town Centre (BTC), the Strathfield Town Centre (STC), and to the B2 zone along the northern side of Liverpool Road Strathfield and Burwood, as described in the exhibition document.

The amendment will be on public exhibition from 5 June 2018 to 3 July 2018 at Council’s Administration Centre, Suite 1, Level 2, 1-17 Elsie Street, Burwood, Monday to Friday 8.30am and 4.45pm.
