Planning Proposal for Heritage Conservation of Additional Properties

Council is publicly exhibiting a Planning Proposal to amend the Burwood Local Environmental Plan (BLEP) 2012 to facilitate:



  • The heritage listing of six additional properties;
  • The inclusion of three properties within an existing heritage conservation area; and
  • Updating of one existing heritage listing.

The Planning Proposal and relevant accompanying documentation will be made available for public inspection from Wednesday, 26 April 2017 to  Wednesday,  24 May 2017. The documents will be available for public inspection at Council’s Administration Centre, Suite 1, Level 2, 1-17 Elsie Street Burwood, Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.45pm, and at the links below.

Written submissions may be directed to Burwood Council, PO Box 240, Burwood NSW 1805 and must be received by 5.00pm on Tuesday 24 May 2017.  The Minister has delegated the authority for the making of the Local Environmental Plan amendment to Council.

Draft Operational Plan 2017-18 and Draft Statement of Revenue Policy (incorporating Schedule of Fees & Charges) 2017-18

The Draft Operational Plan 2017-18 including Budget 2017-18 and Forecasts; and the Draft Statement of Revenue Policy (incorporating Schedule of Fees & Charges) 2017-18 are now on public exhibition.

The plan and policy will be made available for public inspection from Wednesday, 19 April 2017 until Wednesday, 17 May 2017 at Council Chambers, Burwood Library & Community Hub and online at the following links:

Public Notice of Draft Voluntary Planning Agreements (VPAs) - No. 27-29 Burwood Road, Burwood and No. 23-27 George Street, Burwood

 

Draft VPA – No. 27-29 Burwood Road, Burwood

The draft VPA provides for the developer to pay a monetary contribution to Council for the purposes of providing, augmenting or improving open space, community facilities or other public facilities as determined by Council, in exchange for additional development on the site. The draft VPA is proposed in conjunction with an application to modify Development Consent No. 22/2014 for the construction of a 9 storey mixed used building comprising 46 residential units. The application will increase the number of residential apartments from 46 to 48 units.

Draft VPA – No. 23-27 George Street, Burwood

 

The draft VPA provides for the developer to pay a monetary contribution to Council for the purposes of providing, augmenting or improving open space, community facilities or other public facilities as determined by Council, in exchange for additional development on the site. The draft VPA is proposed under Development Application No. 179/2016, involving the construction of a 20 storey mixed use development with 58 units.

Public Notice of Draft VPA - No. 20 the Strand, CROYDON

A draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) and accompanying Explanatory Note have been prepared.

The VPA provides for the developer at No. 20 the Strand, Croydon to pay a monetary contribution for a shortfall of parking on the site.

The VPA is proposed under the Development Application BD.2015.034 for alterations and additions to convert the existing building into a boarding house.
