Reed Reserve is a small park located at Fitzroy Street, Croydon. The park is within the Malvern Hill Heritage Conservation Area, and is close to Croydon Railway Station and shops. Reed Reserve is an Alcohol Prohibited Area between 6pm and 8am, 7 days a week.

Following Section 34 conferences in the Land & Environment Court of NSW and joint expert conferences the applicant has lodged amended plans in response to the matters raised by Council’s independent consultants. The report concludes that the amended application results in improvements on the scheme previously considered by the Panel and that subject to further amendments to address the urban design and SEPP 65 issues, approval from the Sydney Region Development Advisory Committee of the RTA as well as submission and notification of a formal planning agreement the planning issues that relate to height and FSR would enable the current proceedings to be settled by the granting of a conditional consent...

  • Council has well exceeded the statutory requirements for exhibition by publication of notices in local newspapers and making available the exhibition documents at the Council Chambers, Burwood Library and on Council’s website during the entire exhibition period. In addition, all properties in the LGA received letter-box drops about the exhibition, and property owners living outside LGA were sent addressed letters. Responding to concerns about information availability, information sessions and workshops focused on particular issues or stakeholder interest groups were held during the exhibition period. These were notified by newspaper advertisements, letterbox drops, shopping centre flyer handouts, information on Council’s website and Mayoral letters to major stakeholders.
