Situated in Sydney's inner-west, Burwood is 12km west of the CBD. With a combination of residential, commercial and light industrial developments, it features a main shopping strip alongside Burwood Road. A number of yearly celebrations and memorials take place in Burwood: Burwood Festival and Spring Celebrations, Christmas, Australia Day, Chinese New Year, and the Burwood Food and Wine Festival.
