This morning our community came together for the Burwood Anzac Commemorative Dawn Service in Burwood Park. At this year’s Centenary Years' Commemorative Service, we remembered our heroic Australian Light Horse brigade and the Battle of Beersheba in 1917.
On Saturday, our community came together to celebrate Easter in the Park. The event was hosted in conjunction with our local churches with a range of fun performances and activities in Burwood Park.

International Women’s Day and
Seniors Week Festival in Burwood.
I am passionate about ensuring that our local parks are places for all members of our community to enjoy. Council is committed to maintaining and upgrading all parks in the area as part of our extensive Capital Works program.
The school holidays are now finished and it is back to school, and work, for many members in our community. During the summer, Council undertook upgrades to high pedestrian areas to ensure that our residents and visitors could safely travel to school, work and our town centres.
The New Year has begun and Council is delivering a range of exciting projects and initiatives to our community for 2017. Last week, we celebrated Australia Day and presented our Citizen of the Year Awards.
