In fostering the relationship between residents and building a sense of community, Burwood Council hosts a number of civic events, which attract over 350,000 visitors to Burwood every year.
The area’s signature event is the Burwood Festival and Spring Celebrations, held in September, with over 100,000 visitors.

Burwood Council has been celebrating the onset of spring with a festival for the past quarter of a century.
A huge crowd of around 700 people attended Burwood’s annual Anzac Commemorative service in Burwood Park on Sunday 21 April.
The Burwood & District National Servicemen's Committee and Burwood Council invite the community to attend the annual Commemorative Service to remember the fallen, pray for peace, and offer support to war veterans.
