Meet our General Manager
Burwood is set to become 'the place to be' in the Inner West.
With our multicultural community, vibrant shopping precincts, an accessible town centre, beautiful residential streets dense with history, amazing parks, and a multitude of services, Burwood is becoming more and more attractive as a business, residential, shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
And this is just the beginning: we have been identified as Major Centre by the Sydney Metropolitan Strategy and our Town Centre LEP has recently been approved by the Minister for Planning; as a result our strategic geographical position in the Inner West has risen to a new dimension.
This growth presents exciting opportunities for our area, and also some key challenges that need to be addressed with careful planning.
As General Manager I look forward to working with the Councillors and the staff to ensure our community enjoys the most effective and efficient Council possible.
I have a passion for the Inner West, having grown up and lived in the area all my life; and I am excited to have the opportunity to work for a Council and an area with such an enormous potential like Burwood.
