Draft Burwood LEP 2012

 -

All councils across NSW are required to develop planning documents, known as Local Environmental Plans (LEPs), in accordance with a standardised set of definitions, zone types and planning provisions. The intention of the standardised instrument is to provide a more accessible and user-friendly framework for planning across the State.

What’s happening?

Public exhibition of the draft Burwood Local Environmental Plan (BLEP) 2012 and draft Contributions Plan ended on Friday, 30 March 2012. Council has received a large number of submissions from residents, property owners and community groups, as well as attendance at Council's "open house" sessions. Council wishes to thank those members of the community who participated in this important public consultation process.

The next step will be Council's review of all submissions received during the public exhibition period. The matters raised within submissions will be the subject of a report to Council, at which stage these matters will be formally considered by Council.

Council will hold an Extraordinary Council Meeting on 15 May 2012, commencing at 6.00pm. Click here to view the Council report.

Although the period for submissions has closed, the draft BLEP 2012, draft Contributions Plan and supporting material may still be accessed below.
